Long Explanation

'(으)러 가다/오다' is used when you physically **go** or **come** to a location in order to do something. The form is '(으)러' for verbs whose stems end in a consonant (other than ㄹ), and '러' if the stem ends in a vowel or ㄹ. For example, '공부하러 가다' = to go somewhere to study.
