い-Adjective: Negative Polite Form

Change an い-adjective into a polite negative form with ~くないです (or ~くありません).

Formation

い-Adjective (remove い) + くないです

Examples

このピザは美味しくないです。

Kono piza wa oishiku nai desu.

This pizza is not delicious.

この部屋は広くないです。

Kono heya wa hiroku nai desu.

This room is not spacious.

彼の意見は面白くないです。

Kare no iken wa omoshiroku nai desu.

His opinion is not interesting.

その映画は楽しくありません。

Sono eiga wa tanoshiku arimasen.

That movie is not enjoyable.

Long Explanation

To make an い-adjective negative and polite, remove the final い and add くないです. An alternative more formal style is くありません. For example, 美味しい → 美味しくないです / 美味しくありません。
