Processing keyword: ~하기도 하다 [hagido hada] (Sometimes)
The grammar pattern ~하기도 하다 is used in Korean to express that someone also does something or sometimes does something. It emphasizes that the action is one of several possibilities or occurs occasionally.
The pattern is formed by attaching -기도 하다 to the verb stem.
[Verb Stem] + 기도 하다
Verb (Dictionary Form) | Remove Ending | Verb Stem | Add 기도 하다 | Resulting Form |
---|---|---|---|---|
먹다 (to eat) | 다 | 먹 | 먹기도 하다 | 먹기도 하다 |
가다 (to go) | 다 | 가 | 가기도 하다 | 가기도 하다 |
공부하다 (to study) | 다 | 공부하 | 공부하기도 하다 | 공부하기도 하다 |
By understanding and practicing ~하기도 하다, you can express occasional or additional actions naturally in Korean!
